Jonathan Raoul Fajardo Obituary (1958 - 2021)

A great man, a doting father and husband, and a friend to many. Jon was involved in so many beautiful moments with his kids and his community. He regularly traveled for work, installing professional turf fields for schools, rec centers, & more all along the west coast. The playful banter he had among his "bros" there is something Auburnites knew and loved, too. We remember his big smile and cheerful demeanor. Jon could chat your ear off about vinyl records. His collection includes all genres, but the ones he spun most often were mowtown hits and R&B soul-- like The Supremes, The Jackson 5, Prince, & The Temptations to name a few. His niche knowledge expands beyond music though, as Jon was an avid cyclist who enjoyed thrifting vintage parts and reconstructing classic bikes-- Fixies, roadsters, BMX models, Stringrays, you name it. If you happened to meet him at the grocery store butcher, he'd probably share with you his plans for marinating an epic steak and grilling it up on one of his prized Webers. Jonathan was an entertainer, really. His humor and knack for embracing everyone like a friend and feeding them like a king was truly inspiring. A wordsmith, an entrepreneur, a chef, a collector, a DJ, a historian, a kitty spoiler, and even a chicken whisperer-- basically, Jon was a jack of all trades. Most of all though, he was a dad who loved his children and was always, always so proud of them. In lieu of flowers or gifts please make a donation to Saint Jude's or Shriners Children's Hospital
